Spicy. Zesty. Robust. This chipotle aioli can be made in a pinch for your next get-together! It’s made with chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, garlic, cumin, mayo, and sour cream (or yogurt). You know, it just might be the simplest and most mouthwatering sauce there is!
The secret is in the adobo sauce
To get this sauce right, it’s important to use chipotle peppers in a well-balanced adobo sauce. I prefer La Constena Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce because it has a wonderful smokey flavor and it has small pieces of diced onion mixed into the adobo sauce. I usually use half of the can for the aioli and use the rest to make chili or braised beef.
Chipotle aioli is multi-purpose
Use this zingy chipotle aioli to top tacos, salads, sandwiches, eggs, vegan bowls, burgers, or even use it as a dip. In fact, breakfast or brunch is one of the best times to feature this sauce to brighten up the morning. It’s heavenly in my Breakfast Style Pinto Bean Patty recipe.
You might just kiss regular old mayo goodbye with this tantalizing condiment!
- In a small food processor, add all of the ingredients.
