Say goodbye to peeling and grating ginger! (And hello to recipes with ginger paste)
Simplify your life with…aromatic stir-in pastes! Fresh flavor enhancements, such as ginger and lemongrass, are always great to have handy. However, if not used frequently, these types of items may lose their freshness by the time you have figured out what to do with them. Freezing ginger may be an option, but it tends to take on a spongey texture after it has thawed, making it more difficult to grate or chop. I rarely buy fresh lemongrass because it can be difficult to find and I don’t use it for many recipes. However, with stir-in pastes, I am able to have these aromatics accessible anytime I want to add a punch of flavor to a dish. Perhaps the most common uses in my kitchen are recipes with ginger paste.

Reduce food waste
To help prevent food waste, I have found that Gourmet Garden Stir-in Pastes are the ticket! They are pungent and long-lasting when stored in the fridge. Not to mention, the pre-made pastes allow for multipurpose cooking options (as shown in the recipes with ginger paste, for example). For example, I like to squeeze a teaspoon of the slightly sweet ginger paste into my tea and inhale the intoxicating aroma while slowly sipping the slightly spiced elixir. It’s magical. Or, put a dollop of the lemongrass paste into my stir-fry sauces, providing that extra flair.
Trust me, you can put your grater and knives away with this S.Y.L. Winner!
